What else can you see while whale watching?
There are many romantic sites in Newport Beach.
It is also surrounded by many beautiful locations that are short boat rides away.
All are viewable from the boat.
Here are a few.
Crystal Cove
Crystal Cove Beach is a state park in Orange County. It is one of the last natural seashores around. The shore is 3.2 miles long and incredibly beautiful. From tidepools, hiking trails, and old vintage rustic coastal cottages it truly is a one of a kind. If you enjoy photography or just want an Instagram post this is the place to get some amazing photos. Take in this beauty from the safety of the boat and get the perfect photo.
Catalina
Catalina is an island off the coast of Southern California. The island is 22 mi (35 km) long and 8 mi (13 km) across at its greatest width. It was used for filming westerns; and in 1924 while filming “The Vanishing American” they had Bison shipped over, and though they didn’t make the final cut for the film they decided to leave them on the island. Now the island is known for their delicious Bison Burgers. It’s also just a beautiful island in general.
Inspiration Point
Inspiration Point is a sleepy little cove in Corona Del Mar right out of Newport Harbor. This little cove has everything from breath taking rock formations, clear blue waters, hiking trails, private beach, and houses with amazing views. The kind of rocks you would want to sit and think on, quite a fitting name.
Pirates Cove
Pirates Cove Beach also known as Corona Del Mar Beach, is a small private beach inside Newport Harbor. Its caves are perfect for staying out of the sun providing plenty of shade. It is located directly across from the Balboa Jetty, and has even been used for filming Gilligan’s Island. You can easily peek in the caves from the deck of the boat too!
Cameo Cove
Cameo Cove is located on Laguna Beach and has a small island directly adjacent to it. They also have a bridge so you can walk over and hike its trails. It has a very cool cave you can climb through, but be careful when the tides come in it can get a little treacherous. Still a great site from the boat especially the island!
Heisler Park
Heisler Park is an amazing site with colorful flowers close to the ocean. It is a very popular location for Beach Weddings. Great for hiking and photography with a path that leads right down the the water. This is a beautiful site from the boat, and who knows maybe you’ll see a wedding.
